Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is on borrowed time as Manchester United boss as the club continue the hunt for his successor.
MEN Sport understand United have now decided the Norwegian isn't the man to take the club forward and have identified Brendan Rodgers as their preferred replacement.
That being said, a whole host of United fans have championed the appointment of Ajax boss Erik ten Hag.
In the latest Facebook Live, United on my Mind writer Omar Garrick was accompanied by The European Lad to discuss Ten Hag's work in the Netherlands and whether or not he is a man to take United forward.
TEL : “I think he’d do good in the Premier League for a number of reasons. First of all, the likes of Frank de Boer is an example of someone who always wants to stick to their own philosophy. De Boer at Inter and Crystal Palace didn’t want to adapt.
“He took his own philosophy and tried to inject it into the squad. But it doesn’t work, you need to be able to adjust to different cultures otherwise it’s going to get messy as it did at Inter and Palace.
“But with Erik ten Hag, just like he always says himself, when he feels that it’s necessary to adapt, he will. He has an idea of play, of course, but he knows it can’t always go like that and sometimes you have to adapt.”

OG : “One of the criticisms of Solskjaer is the fact he hasn’t shown the ability to adapt at times in games and his in-game management has been criticised. I saw the Ten Hag interview when he was asked to move to Newcastle and he squashed rumours instantly. He seems like a loyal manager."
TEL : “When he was asked about the Newcastle job, he never refused the job he simply said he’s loyal to Ajax. If Manchester United come calling, you’re lucky because you’re Manchester United - let’s put it like that.
“United may not be in a good moment or a good stage as a team but you’re still Manchester United so you have that luck. Any manager who receives a call from United will start thinking about it 100%. So I think in that way there’s obviously a chance he will leave because it’s Man United.
“But it will definitely not be in the middle of the season, 100% not. But if United call in the summer, I think it could happen.
“There’s a very big difference between which club comes calling. If it’s Newcastle United, he will hang up the phone. But if it’s Manchester United, it’s a whole different thing because it’s in the top three biggest clubs in the world. So if they do come calling, there’s no way he will decline that.”
