Manchester United told Paul Pogba mess wouldn't happen under Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa

Former Leeds United man David Prutton has declared that Marcelo Bielsa would not tolerate the situation that Manchester United are enduring with Paul Pogba.

The France World Cup winner's outspoken agent Mino Raiola declared on Monday that his client's time at Old Trafford was over, with the comments coming on the eve of a crucial Champions League match.

Naturally, those words have not gone down well and it's not the first time that the Italian super-agent has caused a stir with his claims, which has led to regular criticism.

That puts Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side in a difficult position, with Pogba's entourage clearly pushing for an exit after he entered the final two years of his contract.

While it is a challenging situation to manage, considering they have no control over what Raiola says, Prutton believes Bielsa would not let things stand.

"You only have to look to the west of Leeds to see what happens when issues between a player and a manager become public and messy," he wrote in his column for the Yorkshire Evening Post.

"God knows how Bielsa would handle Paul Pogba but I doubt he’d tolerate the situation as it is."

Pogba has flattered to deceive since returning to United, where he was previously an academy player, for a club-record fee from Juventus in 2016.

The 27-year-old has regularly been touted with a return to Turin, while Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have also been attributed with an interest.
