Manchester United told how to cause Man City upset in Manchester derby

Wes Brown thinks Manchester United's front three can push them to a surprise victory against Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side go into the fixture as underdogs with City 12 points above them in the league but Brown believes United can pull off a big result if they exploit City's weaknesses.

Marcus Rashford is in fine form along with Daniel James and Anthony Martial could make his return from injury, after missing the Tottenham game with a knock, and the former United defender thinks they will be key.

"I'd be telling them to just go at them. Have a go and don’t be shy, be confident, do what you do on the training ground and looking at the strikers we have been playing recently they’re powerful and quick and just do what you’re doing and cause them problems and they will have problems with the three I’m talking about," Brown told MEN Sport.

United have only won five times in the league this season while City have had a purple patch of form in recent weeks and have not kept a clean sheet in their last eight games and Brown is feeling confident ahead of the game.

"I 100 per cent believe we can go there and win. I think City keep dropping points and Liverpool keep taking advantage of that situation. A derby game anything can happen on the day," he said.

"But it will be a tough game, we know what they can do. But we’ve seen it in the past we can do good performances in that game and get the three points."

Wes Brown met fans at an event with Official Electrical Styling Partners, Remington, outside Old Trafford before the Aston Villa game on Sunday. Remington has recently launched a range of co-branded Manchester United branded styling products, perfect for Christmas gifting. For more information, please click  here .
