Manchester United are set to sign 16-year-old right-back Marc Jurado from Barcelona.
Barca were hoping to tie down the talented defender with a new three-year contract, but the Catalan has turned down a lucrative offer from the Blaugrana and is expected to link up with United's academy side this summer.
The Old Trafford outfit will have to pay a compensation fee for the Juvenil A player, with Barcelona set to receive around €200,000 (£175,000) for the youngster.
Jurado has been at Barcelona since the age of nine and is considered one of the most promising players of his generation.
United have recently extended their scouting network in places like Spain, specifically to sign emerging players in an attempt to avoid paying mega fees in the future.
Sunderland striker Joe Hugill has recently joined for around £300k, with the Red Devils also interested in signing Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham, who would cost in the region of £30m.
