Manchester United 'to sell Alex Telles to sign Kieran Trippier' and more transfer rumours

Manchester United could sell Alex Telles in order to raise funds to sign Kieran Trippier.

That is according to the latest reports, which say United are still interested in right-back Trippier despite being well off Atletico Madrid's valuation of the England man.

United are currently way short of Atletico Madrid's asking price for the England full-back, apparently demanding £43million, with United only willing to pay £20million.

Now, Sky Sports News claim Telles could be sold to generate the necessary funds, with the Brazilian potentially looking to leave after a lack of game time following just one season at Old Trafford.

Telles struggled to displace Luke Shaw at left-back, with Brandon Williams also available as cover there. Trippier has been used on the left for England, too, so could provide cover on both flanks should he sign.

Meanwhile, reports in Spain suggest United could go back in for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, who was briefly on their radar as a Jadon Sancho alternative last summer.

Barcelona fear he could leave on a free next year, according to Mundo Deportivo, so are said to be open to him leaving for a fee this summer.

Finally, another Spanish outlet, AS, say centre-back Jules Kounde is likely to stay at Sevilla for another season, despite signifiicant interest from Premier League clubs.

They report that United, City, Chelsea and Arsenal are all keen on 22-year-old centre-back Kounde, but Sevilla want more than the €55million City offered for him last season. It's claimed they're unlikely to get that figure and the Spanish club's director Monchi doesn't want to undersell Kounde.
