Manchester United 'to lodge Bruno Fernandes bid' and more transfer rumours

Manchester United will lodge a ‘concrete bid’ for Bruno Fernandes before the transfer window shuts, according to reports.

United have been linked with Fernandes for much of the summer after the Portuguese international scored or assisted 50 goals in 53 games last season.

Now, The Independent claim that Fernandes’ club Sporting CP have already rejected offers from United for the playmaker, with a £50million figure expected to be the magic number if the Reds are to land their man.

Fernandes is reported to be keen on the move while the report also states that United remain interested in Newcastle’s Sean Longstaff as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to bolster his midfield.

United's pursuit of Fernandes will not be impacted by the future of Paul Pogba, with the outlet saying the club have identified a replacement should the Frenchman leave.

A separate Independent article says United want Christian Eriksen of Tottenham to replace Pogba, who is linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer.

Pogba has told United he wants to leave according to his agent Mino Raiola, but is with his teammates in Australia for pre-season.

United are expecting Pogba to be part of their squad for the upcoming season, but the report says the club will re-visit their interest in Eriksen - who has also hinted he wants to leave his club.

Finally, Fred has been linked with a loan to Turkish side Galatasaray, who are reportedly interested in the Brazilian’s services.

According to Fotomac, Galatasaray have offered a €2million loan fee with Fred a potential ‘statement signing’ for manager Fatih Terim.
