Manchester United to loan former Hearts 'keeper Joel Pereira out to English Championship club

Former Hearts 'keeper Joel Pereira could be set to seal a move to the English Championship, according to a report.

The 24-year-old stopper enjoyed a nightmare season with the Jambos after arriving on-loan from Manchester United last season.

However that hasn't stopped clubs at a good level expressing an interest as they look to beef up their options between the sticks.

According to The Sun, Huddersfield Town are interested in taking Pereira on-loan for the upcoming campaign.

The report says that United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants him to go out on loan again and get more first-team matches under his belt.

Huddersfield are currently on the hunt for two new 'keepers following an injury to Ryan Schofield and the departure of Joel Coleman.

Pereira made a number of costly mistakes which cost Hearts points as they struggled throughout the 2019/20 campaign.

He was eventually dropped by then manager Daniel Stendel before the season was brought to an end in March.
