Manchester United to launch '£125million double Bundesliga swoop' and more transfer rumours

Manchester United are to launch January moves for German duo Kai Havertz and Thomas Muller, according to reports.

United have struggled for form this season and currently find themselves languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

Scoring goals and even creating chances have been massive problems for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side and as a result they are expected to add some reinforcements in attack once the transfer window reopens in the new year.

According to the Daily Mirror Ed Woodward has 'given the green light for a £125million double Bundelsiga swoop for Havertz and Muller.'

Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Havertz is one of Europe's most highly rated young players who is being eyed by practically every big club after scoring 20 goals last season.

It's reported United 'dispatched their top scouts to watch the 20-year-old' at the weekend and that he would cost £85million but 'that won't deter' the club.

Meanwhile 30-year-old Muller has fallen out of favour at champions Bayern he is 'seen as a viable target' as he would bring experience and be able to help the development of United's young strikers.

Meanwhile, United and neighbours Man City are 'set for a January transfer window war over Rochdale's Luke Matheson.'

The recently turned 17-year-old announced himself to the world when he scored a fine equaliser against United at Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup earlier this season.

The young right-back has continued to impress this season and according to the Daily Mirror both sides are considering a £10million move in January.
