Manchester United have been drawn against Watford or Tranmere in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will have to beat Wolves in their third round replay next week in order to progress to the next round after the clash at Molineux ended goalless on Saturday night.
Solskjaer made seven changes to his team at the weekend with the semi-final against City in the League Cup on the horizon and his changed side were forced to settle for a replay after failing to register a single shot on target over the 90 minutes.
United will now host Nuno Espirito Santo's side at Old Trafford next week with the reward for the winning side a clash away at the winner of the replay between Watford and Tranmere after they drew 3-3.
Ideally United would have confirmed their fourth round place at Molineux and while Solskjaer would have preferred the fixture to have been decided on penalties he dismissed any fear of fatigue an extra game will bring.
"We do have enough games and we will probably play Wolves in the Europa League soon, but that's what we're in it for," Solskjaer said after Saturday's game. "I would rather have a replay than go out.
"When I played we drew Burton away and they got us at Old Trafford, we beat them 5-0 but it's great days out for them as well.
"It's not just about the top teams having too many games. It's about the draw and romance. We had nine games in 29 or 30 days in December so we might as well carry on.
"It's the schedule we are in and have to accept it. I am full of praise for the players and how they cope with it."
