Manchester United to face Leeds United at Old Trafford in FA Youth Cup

Manchester United's FA Youth Cup fixture with Leeds United will be held at Old Trafford, the club have confirmed.

United had been drawn to face their fierce rivals in the fifth round of the famous youth competition but a venue had yet to be confirmed for the tie.

Leeds will travel to Old Trafford on Wednesday 5 February for the 7pm kick-off, although admission details for the fixture are yet to be confirmed.

The match must be decided on the night with extra-time and penalties to follow if the score is level at the end of full-time.

Neil Ryan's side defeated Lincoln City and Norwich earlier in the competition to set-up their tie with Leeds, and reacting to the draw the United manager admitted it would be a big occasion for his side.

“It's a tasty one,” Ryan said. “Definitely a romantic one for a Manchester United fan. It's going to be tough and another really exciting night hopefully.”

United are the most successful club in the history of the FA Youth Cup and last lifted the trophy in 2011.
