Manchester United to compete with Real Madrid for Lille starlet and more transfer rumours

Manchester United have made Lille forward Victor Osimhen a priority once the transfer window reopens, according to reports.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to improve his United squad one again in the summer and bringing in a quality winger to reinforce his attacking arsenal is high on the priority list.

While United are targeting Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho, they face stiff competition to sign the teenager and other potential targets are being touted as a result.

The latest name to be linked is Nigeria international Osimhen and, according to Le10Sport, via SportWitness, the club are very interested in signing him.

The 21-year-old was signed in the summer to replace Arsenal bound Nicolas Pepe and he has made an instant impact at the Ligue 1 club, contributing 18 goals and six assists in 38 appearances.

It's claimed that United think the versatile forward has all the qualities to be a success in the Premier League and have made him one of their priorities for the next transfer window. However, they may face competition from Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, previous United target Kalidou Koulibaly wants to leave Napoli, according to Italian media.

Italian newspaper Tuttomercato have reported that, with Napoli apparently looking to offload a few players to fund their own transfer moves, Koulibaly has informed the club he wants to move.

PSG and United have both been linked, although MEN Sport understands centre-back is not a priority for Solskjaer in the transfer window.
