Manchester United 'to announce Bruno Fernandes signing' after Nations League final

Manchester United are set to announce the signing of Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes, reports say.

Fernandes played for Portgual in their Nations League semi-final win over Switzerland on Wednesday, and will play England or the Netherlands in Sunday's final.

And A Bola (via the Star) say United are front runners to sign Fernandes, who scored or assisted 50 goals in 53 appearances last season in the Primeira Liga.

The report says United are prepared to offer between £62m and £72m for the attacker, and are hoping to agree a deal with Fernandes this week to beat competition from Manchester City.

If an offer can be agreed before the Nations League final, United are said to be ready to announce Fernandes as soon as the competition finishes.

Meanwhile, Reports in Holland claim Spurs are sending scouts to watch Netherlands winger. Steven Bergwijn tonight against England.

But United could be ready to hijack their interest with a €40m bid of their own - according to TMW .

This is not the first time Bergwijn has been linked with United, as he was connected with the club back in January.

Finally, Arsenal have reportedly launched a £22m bid for Thomas Meunier.

TuttoMercatoWEB  say the Gunners are in the race for the Belgian, who United have been strongly linked with signing.
