Manchester United teams news: Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian ruled out of trip to Fulham

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian will both miss Manchester United‘s trip to Craven Cottage to face Fulham on Saturday.

Valencia, the club’s official captain, has made just five Premier League appearances this season and is struggling with a muscle strain, while Darmian is expected to return towards the end of the month.

Marcus Rojo has returned to full training but the Fulham fixture may come too soon for the Argentinian.

“Rojo has been training for a few days, so he’s back in training,” Solskjaer said.

“But we’ve lost Antonio and Matteo through niggles for a couple of weeks. We’re still not bad. We’ve got 20-21 players training every day, so that’s good.”

Solskjaer otherwise has a full-strength squad at his disposal as the Norwegian caretaker looks to extend his undefeated streak at the helm, having won nine out of his ten games in charge.

After Fulham on Satuday, United will face the biggest test of this new era so far when hosting French champions PSG at Old Trafford in the first-leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

Provisional squad

De Gea, Romero, Grant, Dalot, Shaw, Young, Jones, Bailly, Smalling, Lindelof, Fred, Matic, Herrera, McTominay, Pereira, Pogba, Lingard, Mata, Sanchez, Martial, Lukaku, Rashford.
