Roy Keane has backed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team selection for Manchester United for the crucial Premier League clash against Tottenham.
United go into the game knowing their chances of securing Champions League football next season will receive a huge boost with another victory, which would take them nine points clear of Chelsea.
Having lost 6-1 in the reverse fixture earlier this season, United will be keen on redemption and Solskjaer has had decisions to make heading into the game.
Fred and Scott McTominay were selected as the midfield pairing, with Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes playing from wide positions, and Pogba was once again a topic of conversation ahead of the match.
Issuing his assessment on Pogba' s position for the match, Keane backed him to shine and expressed his belief that Solskjaer has plenty of faith in the World Cup winner.
"Ole obviously likes him, he's got a lot of time for him as a player and as a person. We knew he would go with McTominay and Fred in the middle, they're the two to protect the back four, and he will trust Pogba and the other attacking players to go and win the football match," he told Sky Sports.
"We've seen Pogba before, he's a talented boy and he can turn up on the big occasions. Ole clearly trusts him in these big games."
Leading the attack, Solskjaer opted to go with the experience of Edinson Cavani over Mason Greenwood and it was another decision that Keane has backed.
"It's a tough choice for Ole but it's still quality players he's working with. Cavani has had problems recently with injuries but he's certainly a brilliant player, obviously probably coming towards the end of his career. His movement is fantastic and he's a very good option for Manchester United."
United are enjoying a phenomenal unbeaten run of 22 Premier League matches and will be keen to extend that run into the final weeks of the season.
