Manchester United team news: Paul Pogba and David De Gea miss training ahead of Partizan Belgrade tie

Paul Pogba and David De Gea missed training ahead of Manchester United’s trip to face Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League.

De Gea managed to play through a groin injury against Liverpool on Sunday but has not trained since.

In better news for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Jesse Lingard was able to take part at Carrington.

De Gea suffered his injury while away on international duty with Spain, and had appeared unlikely to be able to play against Premier League leaders Liverpool.

And it now seems he will miss Thursday night’s trip to Serbia.

The goalkeeper started United’s last Europa League game against AZ Alkmaar.

Pogba has missed the club’s last three games with an ankle issue, but may be fit enough for a return against Norwich this weekend.

Luke Shaw, Diogo Dalot and Nemanja Matic were also absent from training, as was Axel Tuanzebe.

The defender pulled out in the warm-up of the draw with Liverpool after suffering a hip injury.
