Raphael Varane has returned to training with Real Madrid as he nears a move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
Varane, 28, reported to Madrid's pre-season camp last Friday to undergo compulsory medical tests but has now donned club training gear to take part in team sessions.
The France international was pictured in a training session on Sunday, taking part in individual gym work before joining his teammates for squad exercises.
It is understood Varane's wish was to head straight to Manchester after his holiday, rather than have to return to Madrid.
Varane had been away on holiday with his wife, Camille, and their two children following his participation for France at Euro 2020 where his side was eliminated by Switzerland in the round of 16.
United remain confident of completing a deal for Varane following their official Jadon Sancho transfer announcement last week and the defender expects to join United this summer.
Sources say United are expected to sign Varane for a 'good price' and his fee is not expected to be a sticking point, while discussions over personal terms have been productive.
Madrid accept they need to sell the France international this summer as he has under a year left on his contract and they have no intention of allowing him to leave without obtaining a fee. The MEN revealed Madrid's intention to sell Varane to United in March.
