Manchester United target Pau Torres leaves fans with one transfer demand after Spain win

Manchester United fans are now questioning whether Pau Torres would be a good signing this summer.

Torres is playing with Spain at this summer's European Championship and his national team came out on top in their Round of 16 clash against Croatia on Monday night, winning 5-3 in extra-time, but it was a performance to forget for the Villarreal centre-back.

The Spaniard was dropped from the starting XI against Croatia, entering the field as a substitute with his country boasting a 3-1 lead with just 20 minutes to go in the game. That lead was quickly squandered as Spain conceded two in quick succession late on.

Despite Spain eventually progressing, it was a cameo to forget from Torres and United fans were quick to take to social media to question whether he should be signed.

The MEN understand United have identified Raphael Varane and Pau Torres as their transfer targets in central defence, but now some supporters are hoping Old Trafford chiefs have a change of heart when considering the latter's credentials for a United transfer.
