Manchester United target Jadon Sancho drops latest transfer hint

Jadon Sancho has dropped a hint that he is set to stay at Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Manchester United are considering a move for the England international in the summer transfer market as they look to rebuild under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and launch a bid to qualify for the Champions League.

United's failure to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League dealt a blow to their hopes of securing the former Man City winger this summer, with the prospect of playing in the Europa League not quite so appealing.

Sancho remains a player of interest to United, however it seems like he is preparing for another season at Borussia Dortmund judging by his latest comments.

Speaking after his side finished the Bundesliga season on Saturday with a 2-0 victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach, Sancho appeared to suggest his immediate future remains in Germany.

"Next season our target is to win, not come second," he said.

"I’m really happy with how I played this season. I wasn’t playing that much at the start of the season but was in the team more often later on. It’s all about hard work."

Sancho netted his 13th goal of the season on Saturday as he volleyed in from a Marco Reus cross. Victory for Borussia Dortmund was not enough to clinch the German top-flight title however, as Bayern Munich secured the silverware with a 5-1 hammering of Eintracht Frankfurt.
