Jack Grealish faces a tough decision over whether to join Manchester United if he helps keep Aston Villa in the Premier League, says team-mate Conor Hourihane.
Standard Sport understands the Villa captain is high on United's wanted list this summer, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer prioritising the signing of Grealish over Leicester City's James Maddison.
The coronavirus pandemic has forced United to re-evaluate their transfer plans and while a big-money move for Jadon Sancho may prove difficult, United could still sanction a £60million move for Grealish.
The 24-year-old has been crucial for Villa this season, scoring six goals and assisting seven, but Dean Smith's side could be relegated as they are currently 19th - two points from safety - with nine games to go.
His team-mate Hourihane has given his backing to Grealish should he decide to head for Old Trafford, accepting that the playmaker "deserves" his chance to play for a bigger club.
"Jack's obviously hugely talented, he's our talisman and he's had a fantastic season," Hourihane told Sky Sports News.
"He's been linked with so many clubs, lots of top teams around Europe.
"It's going to be a tough summer and a tough decision for Jack.
"Hopefully, first and foremost, he keeps us up - that is the most important thing for the football club.
"And then, whatever Jack decides to do, that's up to him. He deserves everything he gets.
"For me, he should be in the England squad as well because he has something that nobody else does, in my opinion."
