Manchester United supporters react to 'target' Bruno Fernandes' Portugal performance

Manchester United supporters were left underwhelmed by Bruno Fernandes' showing for Portugal in their UEFA Nations League victory against Switzerland.

The midfielder is said to be on the Reds' radar after a stellar campaign for Sporting Lisbon saw the midfielder net 32 goals in 53 apperances.

The 25-year-old has still to decide on his future, with United reportedly facing competition from Premier League and La Liga clubs for his signature.

Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring for Portugal with a sensational free-kick to mark his 86th goal in 157 international outings, with Ricardo Rodríguez levelling from the spot in the second half. Ronaldo scored twice late on to secure a hat-trick.

Fernandes, operating in a central midfield role, failed to make a tangible impression on the game, however.

And United supporters on Twitter voiced their reservations about United making a mega-money move for Fernandes amid Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's rebuild of the first-team squad at Old Trafford this summer.

'Below par'

'Worst half this season'

'Overhyped'

'Maddison is miles better'

'Poor man's Hakim Ziyech'

'Not the right kind'
