Manchester United suffer Jude Bellingham transfer blow and more rumours

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly confident Birmingham starlet Jude Bellingham will reject the advances of Manchester United and move to the Bundesliga in the upcoming transfer window.

Bellingham is a target for United whose interest started during the January transfer window following the youngster's superb performances in the Championship.

The youngster was given a tour of the Carrington training complex with his parents as United looked to convince the 16-year-old that his future would be best served on Manchester.

Nevertheless, Bild report Dortmund chiefs believe Bellingham has his heart set on a move to Germany despite United's attempts to secure his signature.

The German side believe the deal is close to completion with only a signature on his contract missing to make the move official.

The same outlet reports negotiations were believed to be at an advanced stage between Dortmund and Birmingham before the recent coronavirus pandemic disrupted the sporting calendar.

Elsewhere, United have been linked with a shock move for Crystal Palace Alexander Sorloth.

The 23-year-old joined the Eagles in January 2018 but struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League, failing to find the net in 16 appearances in England.

He joined Trabzonspor on loan where he's got his career back on track, netting 25 goals in 39 appearances for the Turkish Super Lig league leaders.

Fanatik claim the Reds are interested in the forward but face competition from Real Madrid, AC Milan, Napoli, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

The report claims Trabzonspor have the option to buy purchase him permanently and are expected to exercise that clause at the end of the season.
