Manchester United starting line up vs Tottenham confirmed as Mason Greenwood starts

Scott McTominay has returned to the Manchester United team after missing their last three matches through injury.

McTominay rolled his ankle during the closing stages of United's victory over Brighton prior to the November international break and pulled out of Scotland's games against Cyprus and Kazakhstan as a result.

He went on to miss United's games against Sheffield United, Astana and Aston Villa, with United failing to win any of those matches.

He comes in to partner Fred at the base of midfield, with Andreas Pereira dropping to the bench.

Mason Greenwood starts up front in the absence of Anthony Martial, who appeared to pick up an injury against Aston Villa.

If United win they will leapfrog Spurs in the table, although they cannot rise to a position higher than sixth after Crystal Palace moved onto 21 points with their victory over Bournemouth on Tuesday night.

United team to face Tottenham: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Young; Fred, McTominay; James, Lingard, Rashford; Greenwood

United subs: Romero, Tuanzebe, Shaw, Williams, Garner, Mata, Pereira
