Manchester United stars Luke Shaw and Daniel James to play in FIFA 20 charity event to combat coronavirus

Manchester United players Luke Shaw and Daniel James are participating in a FIFA 20 charity event to raise money for those in need due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Twitter page @Combatcorona announced they will host a FIFA 20 charity live stream with professional footballers taking part to raise money.

Shaw and James both tweeted out on their official accounts that they will play in the event and asked fans to tag players who could be potential opponents.

Both players wrote: “Let's beat #Coronavirus!

“I’ll be streaming on the #CombatCorona charity livestream playing FIFA 20 with other footballers to raise funds for those in need. Follow @combatcorona for more

“Date to be announced soon!

“Tag which players you want me to play against!”

So far, Gareth Bale, Jordan Pickford, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Billy Gilmour, Mason Mount, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Kieran Tierney have also confirmed their participation.

United star Marcus Rashford is also pledging his support to those in need due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The England international has partnered with charity FareShare to help bring free meals to vulnerable children while they can not access school meals.
