Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford are two of the young stars for Manchester United, and if this video interview of the two of them is any indication, it appears that Lingard has gotten his hands on an Introduction to Philosophy textbook.
In the video, Rashford relays a story about how Lingard had shown him photos of the lot of them celebrating in the Manchester United program, and wondered how they could ever know if the photos were of them or not.
Lingard tried his best to explain it, and … did not do a good job. I think he’s trying to make the argument that photographs can’t capture our essence, maybe. Or perhaps he’s suffering from an undiagnosed case of prosopagnosia.
