Manchester United starlet Hannibal tipped to become future Paul Scholes

The former coach of Manchester United prospect Hannibal believes that he can become the new Paul Scholes at Old Trafford.

Hannibal has been making waves at United since they beat out the competition to sign the highly-rated playmaker from Monaco in 2019.

In over two years in Manchester, the 18-year-old has quickly moved up the ranks and impressed coaches with his creativity and range of passing.

In 24 appearances for Neil Wood's Under-23s last season he scored five goals and picked up 10 assists, earning himself the Denzil Haroun trophy for being named the U23s Player of the Year.

Hannibal's performances haven't gone unnoticed as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer handed him his senior debut on the final day of last season against Wolves and he featured regularly with the first team during pre-season.

He's also made a strong start to the current campaign in the Under-23s and will be hoping for more opportunities

Reda Bekht, who coached Hannibal at Paris FC, has backed him to soon break into the first-team on a permanent basis and to emulate club legend Scholes.

"The Premier League requires a lot of athleticism and a strong physical capacity. He can still grow more muscle. If he passes this milestone and does not pick up any injuries, he will win over [Solskjaer] I am sure." Bekhti told First Time Finish.

"He can become a future Paul Scholes at Manchester United. He has all the qualities in midfield to become a leader."
