Paul Pogba has started his road to recovery after suffering an injury during the international break.
The midfielder would have missed Manchester United's return to Premier League action against Watford on Saturday regardless as he serves the final game of his three-match suspension but he is now set for even longer on the sidelines.
Pogba suffered an injury to his thigh as he hit an innocuous volley during a training drill with the France national team last week, which saw him miss the final round of World Cup qualifiers and looks set to rule him out of action for at least two months.
Losing such an important player for a prolonged amount of time is the last thing manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs at the moment, as his job still hangs in the balance following the recent humiliating defeats to Liverpool and Manchester City.
The Norwegian will be hoping Pogba is back fit as soon as possible and the Frenchman has provided an update on his progress by posting two photographs of himself working to improve the strength in his leg.
He accompanied them with the caption: "Recovery mode ON ," with a tick emoji.
Pogba is joined in the recovery room by his fellow international teammate Raphael Varane, who will also be unavailable for the trip to Vicarage Road after suffering a hamstring injury.
Edinson Cavani will miss the match as well as he deals with a tendon problem, while Luke Shaw is a doubt after missing England's wins over Albania and San Marino as he follows concussion protocols after suffering a blow to the head in the Manchester derby defeat.
