Manchester United star Paul Pogba exposes 'cheating' Chelsea player N'Golo Kante

Paul Pogba has joked that his France international teammate N'Golo Kante 'cheats a lot', before describing how much he loves the Chelsea midfielder as a player and a person.

Manchester United player Pogba, together with Kante, formed the fulcrum of France's World Cup winning team in the summer of 2018. The pair proved a perfect blend in the middle of Didier Deschamps' team, inspiring them to glory in Russia.

Kante has won the Premier League title with both Leicester and Chelsea and Pogba admitted while speaking to beIN SPORTS that the diminutive 30-year-old is 'cunning' and 'smart' even off the football pitch.

Pogba also explained how much he admires Kante's work ethic and humility.

He said: "He cheats a lot. A lot. At card games, board games. Honestly, I'm telling the truth. He cheats. He says he doesn't cheat, but he does. He uses cunning. He's a smart kid, N'Golo. But it's okay. You have to love him.

"He's the most beloved player in the history of football. You've got to love him, you cannot hate him, it is not possible. He is humble, kind, professional. He will never complain, he will work.

"He's got everything. He's good technically, with a good passing quality, and he's everywhere on the pitch. I even say he appears out of the ground! You don't see him, and — poof — he's out! He gets the ball, he has the finish. He's everywhere.

"To have a player like that by your side, what more can you ask for?'"

Kante was unable to inspire Chelsea to FA Cup victory over Leicester on Saturday, but Thomas Tuchel's side are still competing for a spot in the Premier League top four while — like United — they are in a European final at the climax of the season.
