Manchester United star Paul Pogba drops fresh Real Madrid transfer hint

Paul Pogba's latest Instagram activity hints that he is still eyeing a move to Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants failed in their attempts to convince Manchester United to sell the French midfielder during the summer transfer window.

Pogba publicly stated his desire for a 'new challenge' in June but United never had any intention of selling the World Cup-winning midfielder.

The European transfer window closed on Monday, which means Pogba will stay at United until January at the very least - and it was on Monday that the 26-year-old appeared to drop a hint on social media that he remains keen to link up with countryman Zinedine Zidane in the Spanish capital.

A comment on his most recent upload urged Pogba to join Madrid and the former Juventus man 'liked' the comment.

Meanwhile, Pogba has been ruled out of France's upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Albania and Andorra due to an ankle injury.

He was pictured limping away from St Mary's on Saturday afternoon after sustaining the problem during United's 1-1 draw with Southampton.

Pogba performed poorly as United dropped points for the third Premier League game in succession and Solskjaer was not afraid to criticise his star player in a post-match press conference.

"I think we as a team after about half-an-hour started giving sloppy balls away and Paul was one of them," Solskjaer said. "He wasn't any different to anyone else.

"We as a team didn't play well but in the last 20 minutes or half-an-hour he did create loads for us going forward. Everyone expects everything from him every game, he has to defend, he has to attack, he has to win headers, he has to dribble past people, he has to make passes. That's just Paul and he'll thrive on that."
