Manchester United squad vs Tranmere revealed

Victor Lindelof is back in Manchester United's squad for the trip to Tranmere after missing the midweek defeat by Burnley through illness.

Phil Jones partnered Harry Maguire in the centre of United's defence during the 2-0 loss and Lindelof could return to the starting XI at Prenton Park.

There are also places in the travelling squad for Tahith Chong and Angel Gomes amid continuing uncertainty surrounding their futures at the club.

Chong, 20, and Gomes, 19, are out of contract at United in the summer and have been free to negotiate transfers with overseas clubs since January 1.

Eric Bailly is in the squad for a third successive game. The Ivory Coast international has not played for United since damaging knee ligaments in pre-season but was an unused substitute against Liverpool and Burnley.

Brandon Williams was the only first-team regular not spotted by photographers as United departed Carrington on Sunday morning. It was later confirmed he had travelled. Williams has played in each of United's last six games.

Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, Scott McTominay, Marcos Rojo and Axel Tuanzebe remain unavailable.

United's 21-man travelling squad vs Tranmere: De Gea, Romero, Grant; Wan-Bissaka, Williams, Dalot, Jones, Maguire, Lindelof, Bailly, Shaw; Matic, Fred, Pereira, Gomes, Lingard, Mata; Chong, James, Greenwood, Martial
