Manchester United squad vs Real Sociedad revealed as another new youngster is included

Manchester United have named another new youngster in their squad for Thursday's Europa League second leg match with Real Sociedad in the form of midfielder Ethan Galbraith.

United go into the game with the La Liga side with their spot in the Last-16 all but guaranteed after a 4-0 mauling in Turin last week, with a Bruno Fernandes brace and goals from Marcus Rashford and Daniel James securing the win.

Galbraith, 19, was added into United's Europa League squad on Tuesday and was pictured with the rest of the squad arriving at the Lowry Hotel on Thursday afternoon ahead of the game.

The Northern Ireland international will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of fellow teenagers Amad, 18, who made his senior debut in the first leg, and 17-year-old Shola Shoretire, who made his bow in the victory against Newcastle United on Sunday, in making his own first appearance for the club.

Amad and Shoretire are both in the squad again for tonight's game, though manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn't believe either will start at Old Trafford.

When asked if the young duo could be in the starting XI on Sunday, the Norwegian said: "Probably not, Shola and Amad, no. I'm not sure that would be fair on them, they'll be in the squad."

As expected, Donny van de Beek, Edinson Cavani and Scott McTominay all weren't with the squad as they continue to recover from their injuries.

"No, still out," Solskjaer said of the trio in his pre-match press conference. "Still not trained enough or joined in, it will be more or less the same squad as Newcastle."

David De Gea and Victor Lindelof are in the squad (Eamonn and James Clarke)

Paul Pogba remains unavailable as well though he has managed to make a step up in his own recovery and another promising talent in Hannibal Mejbri is still sidelined after picking up an injury just after being promoted to the first-team.

"Hannibal is injured in the reserves, he'll be out for a month, he was just coming into our squad, unfortunately for him. Amad and Shola will be in the squad.

"Paul has been outside on the grass and is starting to step up his recovery but he's not near the team for this game."

Bruno Fernandes arrives at the Lowry (Eamonn and James Clarke)

Forward Mason Greenwood and Juan Mata weren't spotted by M.E.N. photographers and appear to be surprise absentees for the match.

Full confirmed United squad:

David de Gea, Dean Henderson, Lee Grant, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Axel Tuanzebe, Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly, Luke Shaw, Alex Telles, Brandon Williams, Fred, Nemanja Matic, Ethan Galbraith, Shola Shoretire, Bruno Fernandes, Amad, Daniel James, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial.
