Manchester United squad vs Liverpool includes Bruno Fernandes after injury scare

Bruno Fernandes has been included in Manchester United's squad to face Liverpool after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer shared concerns over the midfielder's fitness.

The United boss said the Portuguese was a doubt for the game with Marcus Rashford also a concern following the mid-week Champions League win against Atalanta.

Solskjaer said: "Games like Wednesday night are always going to bring knocks and bruises and we do have two or three carrying knocks from that game. I'll give everyone time, I hope I can pick from a fully fit squad, I might be without two or three.

"Bruno [Fernandes] might be a doubt, but he's doing everything he can to be ready."

However, it appears United have been given a double injury boost as both Fernandes and Rashford were spotted arriving at The Lowry Hotel ahead of Sunday's game at Old Trafford.

Raphael Varane is injured while Fred was not pictured casting doubt over his availability.

Jurgen Klopp confirmed Thiago Alcantara would miss the clash while Curtis Jones could return to contention after missing the game against Atletico Madrid.

Manchester United squad pictured at team hotel: De Gea, Henderson, Heaton, Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw, Matic, McTominay, Van de Beek, Pogba, Fernandes, Sancho, Lingard, Greenwood, Cavani, Ronaldo.
