Manchester United squad gets FIFA 19 upgrade - but two first-team stars DOWNGRADED

After suffering back-to-back defeats for the first time as Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side needed to respond.

And they did, dispatching a dangerous Watford side 2-1 at Old Trafford.

Goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial sealed the three points for the Red Devils in what was a much improved performance.

EA Sports have have now reviewed the United squad on FIFA 19 and have given a few players a deserved upgrade - but there's also been some downgraded.

These are the latest changes to the Manchester United squad on FIFA 19, as of March 28 2019.

Paul Pogba - Upgrade

Paul Pogba was instrumental in United's win over Watford and has been rewarded with an upgrade on FIFA 19.

The Frenchman's positioning has gone up from 82 to 83 in-game.

Anthony Martial - Downgrade

Despite scoring against Watford and being in good form generally, Martial has been given a shock downgrade on FIFA 19.

The striker's composure (82-80), long shots (80-79) and stamina (76-75) have all been downgraded.

However, he does get a positioning upgrade, from 83 to 84.

Luke Shaw - Downgrade

Despite his magnificent assist for Rashford's goal against Watford and his upturned form, Shaw has also been downgraded.

The English full-back's crossing (82-81) and overall potential ability (86-85) has been reduced, which seems harsh.

Jesse Lingard - Upgrade

Back from injury and back on song - Lingard has now been given an upgrade on FIFA 19.

The midfielder's aggression (73-74), crossing (74-76), short passing (79-80), strength (53-56) and vision (82-83) have all been increased.

Diogo Dalot - Upgrade

The Portuguese youngster has shown some real ability over recent weeks and has been rewarded with a FIFA 19 upgrade.

Dalot's dribbling (76-78), interceptions (70-71), positioning (72-73), stamina (76-78) and strength (73-74) have all been boosted.

This has also meant a boost in overall rating, as he goes from 73 to 74, with his potential also increasing from 84 to 85.

Scott McTominay - Upgrade

McTominay has also been given a big upgrade in FIFA 19.

The Scottish midfielder's ball control (73-74), dribbling (67-69), reactions (67-69), short passing (74-75), sliding tackle (65-67) and standing tackle (71-72).

This means his overall rating has increased also, from 73 to 74.
