Manchester United signings Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri join training

Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri met their new Manchester United teammates on Thursday as the squad returned after the internationals.

Telles, 27, came on in Brazil's World Cup qualifying wins over Bolivia and Peru and is temporarily residing in The Lowry Hotel until he locates a permanent property. Pellistri, 18, was at United's Carrington training base on Wednesday for a photocall with club media.

Telles arrived at Carrington later in the morning whereas Pellistri arrived with the main group just after ten o'clock. Brazilian Telles was greeted by fans at The Lowry and signed autographs.

Anthony Martial, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes were the only United internationals not accounted for as the majority of the squad reported ahead of the Saturday night trip to Newcastle.

Martial started in France's win in Croatia - where Pogba came on - and Fernandes lined up in Portugal's home win over Sweden. Pogba filmed himself on Thursday afternoon relaxing at home with his wife and son.

Telles could make his debut at Newcastle but Uruguayan Pellistri has not played in nearly a month and is likely to be given time to settle, given his age.

Edinson Cavani is still in quarantine and will miss the Newcastle game.
