Manchester United sign youth prodigy Amir Ibragimov to contract

Manchester United starlet Amir Ibragimov has signed a new deal at the club. The 15-year-old forward had been attracting serious interest from top sides across Europe, but has committed his immediate future to United by signing pre-scholarship forms.

It means the Russian-born youngster will stay with United throughout his scholarship period until he is eligible for professional terms when he turns 17.

United have fielded numerous enquiries about the future of the youngster this summer but were always keen to secure his long-term future given his high-potential as a player.

Ibragimov is regarded as one of the most highly-rated players in United's academy system and captained the U14 side last season as they won the Albert Phelan Cup against Man City. The teenager, who is of Russian descent, is a current England youth international and netted a hat-trick for their U15 side last week in a 4-3 win.

He was also part of the United side that won the Junior Final of the Super Cup NI last month, as a Shea Lacey penalty and a Harrison Parker header secured a 2-0 win over Rangers.

His younger brother, Gazi, is also currently involved in the United youth setup where he plays for the U12 side.
