Real Madrid will consider making an approach for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba in January, reports in Spain say.
United held on to Pogba this summer, despite interest from Madrid and the midfielder's admission that it would be a 'dream' to sign for Real.
But the Bernabeu outfit signed a number of high-profile players this summer, including Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic, and ultimately could not afford Pogba.
Now, Sport claim Real will revisit their interest in Pogba in January, but United are reportedly insistent they will stand firm and demand €200m (£178m) for their record signing, the article adds.
That would make Pogba the second most expensive player in history, behind Neymar after his move from Barcelona to PSG.
Meanwhile, United will reportedly trigger the release clause of Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak if David de Gea does not sign a new contract.
De Gea's contract runs out in the summer, and although he is expected to commit his future to the club, reports say United are preparing a contingency plan.
Spanish outlet AS say that United are prepared to trigger the £107million release clause in Oblak’s contract if De Gea leaves at the end of his current deal.
