Manchester United sent top four prediction amid Tottenham 'better manager' claim

Former Aston Villa forward Gabby Agbonlahor has predicted that Tottenham will take the fourth Champions League spot ahead of Manchester United in the Premier League this season.

It looks like it'll be an exciting final five months from now until the end of the campaign, with a number of teams looking capable of finishing in the top four spots.

Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea have seemingly already established a hold on the top three, but the fourth and final Champions League qualification place looks up for grabs.

United along with Arsenal, West Ham and Tottenham are all in the race as things stand.

And while many will argue that Ralf Rangnick has the best better side on paper to finish in the fourth spot, Agbonlahor believes Spurs having the superior manager will see them claim the position.

Speaking on TalkSport, he said: "Arsenal are dropping points, Spurs and West Ham winning. This is going to be the most exciting race we’ve had for top four in years.

"Man City will win the title quite comfortably, but the top four race is what I’m excited to watch this season.

“I'm so excited for this top four race. West Ham aren’t going anywhere. Arsenal are looking like a proper team now, Spurs are as well.

“Manchester United can’t play any worse, so they are going to be fighting for that top four place as well.

"I think the reason why Spurs are the favourites is because of the manager. They’ve got the best manager out of the other teams trying to get into the top four – West Ham, Manchester United, Arsenal.

"He’s proven. Look what he’s done with Inter Milan, Chelsea, but especially with Inter Milan last season.

"To win the Scudetto when Juventus had been on top for nine years winning it.

"Him at that club now, he will be the reason they are my favourites for top four.”

United currently sit seventh place in the table, and will look to further the gap between eight place Wolves when the two teams face-off on Monday night.
