Former Liverpool midfielder Steve McManaman does not believe Brendan Rodgers would be a good appointment at Manchester United due to his time at Liverpool.
The Leicester boss has been linked with the managerial role at United after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come under increased pressure in recent weeks.
United were linked with Antonio Conte before his move to Tottenham, leaving United with not many options should they decide to part ways with Solskjaer.

Losses to fierce rivals Liverpool and Manchester City has meant many United fans have lost faith in their manager and are calling for his time to be up.
BT Sport pundit McManaman thinks Rodgers ’ three years at Liverpool doesn’t stand him in good stead for taking over at Old Trafford.
“I can’t see Brendan going there,” McManaman told HorseRacing.net.
“I think he’s got the credentials, yes, but I think his history with Liverpool would be too much for everybody.
“I haven’t spoken to Zinedine Zidane in a while but I don’t think he speaks English and I don’t know whether it’s a job that would appeal to him.”
Rodgers came within touching distance of winning the Premier League at Liverpool in 2014 but the Reds lost out to Manchester City in what was an enthralling title race.
His team containing Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge up front was one of the most entertaining Liverpool have had.
Rodgers’ time came to an end at Anfield in 2016 when Jurgen Klopp was later appointed and the rest is history.
