Manchester United's Under-23s will kick-off the 2021/22 Premier League 2 campaign with a home clash against Leicester City on Monday, 16 August, it has been confirmed.
Four days after facing the Foxes on the opening day of the new season, Neil Wood's side, who finished eighth in the table last season, will face a stern-looking test against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in their first away game of the campaign.
United's youngsters will then round off the opening month of the season with a Manchester derby against cross-city rivals Manchester City on Friday, 27 August.
A difficult-looking beginning to the season continues into September, with their fourth game of the campaign seeing them go up against Arsenal away from home.
Wood's troops also face a tricky conclusion to the season, taking on both Arsenal and Liverpool in their final two matches.
It has been confirmed a minimum of three league matches must be played at Old Trafford over the course of the season with training grounds permitted to host up to three encounters as well. However, it has been announced that the United youngsters will play the majority of their home games at Leigh Sports Village.

All of United's Under-23s fixtures will kick-off at 7pm unless otherwise stated and are subject to change.
Elsewhere, all players born after 1 January 1998 are eligible to play and each team can use a goalkeeper and up to three over-age outfield players.
