Manchester United's Scott McTominay is worth more than Liverpool's Mo Salah, according to a new study.
CIES Football Observatory has calculated the monetary values of 100 players across the top five leagues in Europe.
With the January transfer window now upon us, the research team has come up with an algorithm that predicts how much the world's biggest clubs will need to fork out to sign top talent.
Using these exclusive methods, CIES has calculated that McTominay is worth €67.2m (£56.7m) in the January market in comparison to Salah who is only worth €66.1m (£55.25m).
The Egyptian has scored 23 goals in 26 appearances for the Merseyside club this season, while the Scottish central midfielder has just one goal in 21 games.
Elsewhere, Mason Greenwood is fourth on the list - worth €133.9m (£112m). He sits behind United transfer target Erling Haaland (€142.5m/£119m) and Man City's Phil Foden (€152.6m/£127.5m).
Topping the list is Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior, valued at a cool €166.4m (£139m).
The 21-year-old has bagged 12 goals and nine assists in 25 La Liga and Champions League appearances this season.
Manchester United will travel to Anfield to face Liverpool on Saturday, March 19.
