Who Manchester United could play in Europa League last 32

Manchester United know their possible opponents in the last 32 of the Europa League after the final round of group phase matches in Europe's secondary club competition were played on Thursday night.

United's continental campaign will resume in the manner they didn't want it to in the new year after back-to-back losses at the end of the Champions League group phase.

United required only a point from their final games against PSG and RB Leipzig but were beaten in both and conceded three goals in each match.

The failure to qualify for the Champions League knockout phase will also have a negative impact on United's fixture schedule, with the Europa League having an extra two-legged knockout round.

There are 32 teams remaining in the competition, and United have 28 potential opponents in the next phase. They cannot draw Arsenal, Leicester or Tottenham.
