Manchester United's pitch tribute and a further Hibs kit message as football unites to applaud NHS

It's been another week of debate and debacles as Scottish football looks to be finally nearing a conclusion of the row that has waged since March 13.

Since the day football stopped in the country due to the coronavirus crisis, there has been furious discussion over who should be crowned champions and who should be relegated.

But as the nation does every Thursday at 8pm, our game was united in applauding the heroes that are carrying the country through the pandemic.

Hibs had earlier announced that next season's home kit will bear a message of thanks to the NHS - but they unveiled it on player for the first time at 8pm with centre-back Darren McGregor on modelling duty.

Newly-crowned Championship winners Dundee United joined in on the applause on Twitter.

Manchester United unveiled a stunning tribute to the NHS with their logo emblazoned on the Old Trafford pitch.

Raith Rovers and Dunfermline joined in too as the clubs crossed the Fife divide, as did Falkirk who were narrowly pipped to the League One crown by Raith.

Queen of the South striker Stephen Dobbie has raised over £5,000 for the NHS by shaving his and his two sons' heads after wife Suzanne fell ill with symptoms of coronavirus.

So it was only natural that his club tweeted their appreciation for NHS Dumfries and Galloway too.
