Manchester United's Paul Pogba sent two-word instruction amid contract update

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is back on familiar territory.

Pogba is with France for the finals of the Nations League tournament and his side's game against Belgium on Thursday (7.45pm) is being played at the home ground of his old side Juventus.

There has been intense speculation about Pogba's future with the United star's contract up at the end of the season.

Reports in the French press have claimed that Pogba has spoken to those 'close' to him that he wants to stay at Old Trafford with the summer signings of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo among the reasons why he wants to commit his future to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

Pogba has been heavily linked with a return to Juventus as well as Spanish giants Real Madrid and French title challengers Paris Saint-Germain.

He took to social media platform Instagram on Wednesday to share a picture of himself at the Juventus Stadium and was sent a message by one of his former team-mates in Turin Juan Cuadrado.

The Colombian's instruction to Pogba was simply to 'stay home', a plea for the 28 year-old to return to Juventus and help Massimiliano Allegri's side rebuild having lost Ronaldo in the summer.

Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, spoke last month about the player's situation and name-checked Juventus as a potential destination for him.

"Pogba's contract expires next year," Raiola said.

"We will talk to Manchester and see.

"For sure Turin has remained in his heart and he cares a lot about these things. The possibility of returning to Juventus is there but it also depends on Juve."
