Manchester United's Marcus Rashford nominated for Premier League Player of the Month award

Manchester United's Marcus Rashford has been nominated for the Premier League's Player of the Month award for September.

Rashford enjoyed a productive month in September, helping his side to record consecutive wins against Leicester and Arsenal in the Premier League. The forward bounced back to form to contribute two goals and two assists across those two fixtures.

The 24-year-old is enjoying his football again with Erik ten Hag in charge, who has played Rashford down the middle.

Rashford was nominated for the award alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Alex Iwobi, Jacob Ramsey, Kevin De Bruyne and Philip Billing.

United fans can vote for Rashford to win the award via the EA SPORTS website until 12:00 BST on Monday 26 September. The public vote will be combined with those of a panel of football experts to decide the winner, who will be revealed next week.

Rashford was unfortunate not to be included in the England squad this month after sustaining a muscle injury against Arsenal.

He is already close to surpassing his contribution from the entirety of last season, which was five goals and two assists. United are hopeful Rashford will return from injury in time to play Manchester City.
