Luke Shaw thinks Manchester United 'need to be aggressive' to beat Manchester City in the Manchester derby.
United have endured a tumultuous season and the pressure is building on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer amid a string of poor results.
The Norwegian changed to a back five after the Liverpool debacle, though, and that helped United look transformed in their 3-0 win against Tottenham in the Premier League, albeit that side was led by an ill-fated Nuno Espirito Santo.
United are looking to win consecutive games for only the second time this season in the Manchester derby on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds welcome City to Old Trafford for a 12:30 BST kick-off and Shaw has admitted that 'aggression' will be key.
“The aggression needs to be there, we need to be aggressive," Shaw told Sky Sports.
"We can’t be passive. Of course, we know that they’re going to have the ball, but we can’t let them have too much control. Like I’ve said, we can’t be too passive. We need to be aggressive and we need to get the crowd behind us
“We understand that the last home game wasn’t great, so we need them back on onside. These games are a one-off, we’re at home and we need to take control and we need to win this game
"We’ve got the talent that can win us games and first and foremost we have to give it out all."
