Manchester United's Hannibal has been named in Tunisia's squad for next month's Africa Cup of Nations.
Hannibal, 18, played for Tunisia at the FIFA Arab Cup tournament and he played a key role in helping his side reach the final.
Tunisia fell short in the final of that tournament against Algeria, but Hannibal will have the opportunity to make amends for that defeat at the Africa Cup of Nations instead, which go ahead next month in Cameroon despite fears over Covid-19.
Hannibal has made Tunisia's 28-man squad and his nation's first game of the competition will be played Wednesday, January 12.
Hannibal was named as United's Under-23s Player of the Year last term. He's held in high regard at United and Ralf Rangnick recently confirmed that Hannibal will be involved with the Reds' first team when he returns from international duty.
"Hannibal was here training for the first time since I arrived, having just come back from the Arab Cup. Unfortunately for us and for him he will be missing out again in January because of the Africa Cup of Nations," Rangnick said before Christmas.
"I watched the final before his substitution and I’m fully aware that we have another good, highly-talented player coming from our youth ranks and hopefully after the Africa Cup of Nations he can regularly train and be part of our group."
The ACON will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
