Manchester United's Dylan Levitt reacts to 'amazing' Euro 2020 debut with Wales

Manchester United starlet Dylan Levitt has reacted to making his international tournament debut for Wales, having come off the bench during the defeat to Italy.

Wales lost 1-0 in Rome on Sunday but have seen their passage to the knockout stages secured, finishing above Switzerland courtesy of a superior goal difference.

A clash with Denmark now awaits on Saturday, with a 5pm kick-off in Amsterdam raising the curtain for the knockout stages, and Wales are two games away from reaching the semi-finals like they did five-years ago.

Levitt has admitted that's the aim for Wales, who have burst onto the international scene with three consecutive qualifications for major tournaments, and was left 'amazed' by the opportunity to feature for his nation.

“It is amazing. We just want to repeat 2016. It is every boy's dream to do that. With the players we have got, we think we have enough quality to do that and go far in this tournament," he said.

“I was just amazed to get on. It is something for me to build on now personally. To play in a major tournament for your country is an amazing feeling.

“I think the result despite all their fans , the stadium and the red card, I thought we dealt with it very well.”

Levitt's appearance against Italy marked a ninth international cap for the 20-year-old, who has made just a sole appearance for United's senior side in the Europa League.

He will be hoping for a Premier League debut next term if he remains at Old Trafford but could head off on loan once again.

Levitt spent part of last season on loan with Croatian side Istra, reaching the domestic cup final but not featuring in that match.
