Manchester United's David de Gea and Man City's Ederson praised by Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno

Arsenal keeper Bernd Leno has given his view on the top goalkeepers in the world - and says they are all currently playing in the Premier League.

The Germany international has been in England since the start of the 2018/19 season and overcame some initial struggles to establish himself as the Gunners' No.1

Leno was asked on Reddit whether he takes note of other keepers in the league, and what in particular he might take from each of his rivals' games.

The Arsenal star said that Manchester City keeper Ederson and David de Gea of Manchester United were both among the best, but that Liverpool's Alisson was the top dog.

"To be honest I study every time I'm watching football," Leno said. "I look at the keepers, the game and the strikers.

"In the Premier League we have the best goalkeepers because there are so many top goalkeepers here.

"The top goalkeeper last season was Alisson from Liverpool. He's good with his feet, good at crosses and is playing high with a high defence, which you need at Liverpool.

"Ederson's also very good with his feet, De Gea has unbelievable reflexes and reactions.

"When I watch the games - and I like watching the games - I always study them. I don't want to copy them, though, it's only to see how they play. We're all different to each other, so it's just about finding our own style."
