Christian Eriksen has admitted Manchester United could have kept the ball more efficiently against Liverpool.
United bounced back from embarrassing defeats against Brighton and Brentford in the Premier League with an outstanding performance to beat Liverpool 2-1 on Monday night, with well-taken goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford.
It was a monumental result for Erik ten Hag, who was given a baptism of fire in the Premier League after starting the new season with two humiliating defeats. United were much the better side against Liverpool and they controlled the game with their high energy.

The performance was a huge improvement from Ten Hag's side but Eriksen has suggested there will be better displays to come.
Eriksen was asked about the Reds' performance after the game and he admitted that United could have kept the ball better.
"Hopefully this gives us a big boost towards the next games," Eriksen told MUTV. "I think the intensity [the difference] compared to the Brentford game, obviously we made a few mistakes in that game, but today we started on the front foot.
"We were the better team in the first half. I think on the ball, the team could have done better than we did today, but in general, the intensity, getting on the level and playing to punish them how they play [was great].
"I think it started [togetherness] after losing two times. This week has been about coming together and getting back to the basics.
"We didn't do that against Brentford."
