Manchester United are now odds on to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka before the start of the Premier League season.
The current Crystal Palace right-back has been continually linked with a switch to Old Trafford since before the conclusion of last season's Premier League.
Some reports in the media over the weekend suggested that the 21-year-old, who is currently competing in the European Under-21 Championship, is set for a medical at the Reds in the coming days.
However, the MEN understands that this is not the case. Although personal terms have been agreed between the player and United, both Palace and Reds are still in discussions over a transfer fee. But once a fee has been agreed, a medical will then take place.
But bookmaker Betfair are confident a deal will be done this summer.
Just last month Wan-Bissaka was 14/1 to move to Old Trafford, but fast forward a couple of weeks and the Palace youngster is now 1/25 on to join the Reds.
Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City are priced at 20/1, German giants Borussia Dortmund are 25/1, and Chelsea, despite being under a transfer ban, are priced at 33/1 to secure the services of the 21-year-old.
United have already secured Daniel James from Swansea City, with the 21-year-old costing the Reds around £15million, and boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to centre his team around young, hungry, British players in an effort to restore the Reds back to the top of English football.
