Manchester United's Anthony Martial has already made transfer decision amid Arsenal links

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial reportedly prefers a move to La Liga side Sevilla in January, with the Frenchman looking to play more games.

Martial, 26, has struggled for minutes so far this season, making just seven Premier League appearances for United.

The forward’s agent spoke out recently over his lack of minutes, telling Sky Sports: “Anthony wishes to leave the club in January.

"He just needs to play. He doesn't want to stay in January and I will speak to the club soon."

He has recently been linked with a move to Arsenal, with the Gunners reportedly on the hunt for a striker with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang out of the squad and Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah out of contract in the summer.

Barcelona and Juventus have also been linked with a loan move for Martial, who is set to hold talks with interim manager Ralf Rangnick over his future at the club soon.

Sevilla, however, are expected to be his preferred destination, according to Sky Sports, who say that his camp expects the La Liga club to be able to give him the most minutes to get back to playing football again amid his transfer decision.

The 26-year-old has suffered with injuries, though, with him yet to feature under Rangnick due to a tweak to his knee.

Martial last featured for the Red Devils in early December, when he came off the bench under caretaker manager Michael Carrick in the 3-2 victory over the Gunners.

A loan deal to Spain could be edging closer, meaning Mikel Arteta may have to look elsewhere in his pursuit of another striker for his forward line.
